One of the things I find most compelling about conservation is how the natural world continues to surprise us. A newly discovered fish species was recently named after Snuffleupagus because of its unusual nose and resemblance to the beloved Sesame Street character — a reminder that there is still so much we have yet to understand about the ecosystems around us.
