In partnership with Brilliance Subaru, they rescued 166 Beagles.
Dogs that had never been outside, touched ground or experienced affection were met by hundreds of supporters and placed in loving homes to live out the rest of their lives.
Because of the intense public interest of this nation-wide rescue, there was an opportunity to educate the public on the costs and efforts associated with what goes into conducting large-scale rescues as well as leverage media interest in what happened to these dogs.
The layout of the venue walked attendees through the journey as had been experienced by the Beagles themselves.
Attractions highlighted each stop on the journey: The Issue, The Transport, The Arrival, Medical Processing, Training & Enrichment, Going Home.
Adopters were given Human Society of the US genealogy records for their dogs (to find siblings & parents) and were encouraged to share their stories on the “Survivor’s Stage”.
